The planned 10 bell outing is now confirmed and will take place on Saturday 10th August 2024.

The towers arranged are given below

It takes about 45 minutes to drive from Abergavenny to Chepstow so there is plenty of time to grab some lunch somewhere. Also Chepstow and Lydney are only 20 minutes apart so we'll try and arrange an afternoon tea stop.

The background to this day is that quite a number of people have said that the leap from 8 bell ringing to 12 bell ringing is too big a step (fair point) - would it be possible to have some practice on 10 bells as an intermediate step? So here we are. The idea on the day is to ring some half courses of Yorkshire and Cambridge Royal, also some Grandsire and Stedman Caters and not forgetting some rounds or Plain Hunt for those who just want to grab the towers.

I do need to know who is coming please and for how long so I can organise the day and try to ensure everyone gets what they want out of the day. Possibly you can come just for the morning or just for the afternoon, but hopefully all day. So please email me back with if you are able to come or not and what you would like to try and ring on the day.

Look forward to hearing from you.
