Local ringer and historian Andrew Giles has very kindly made available for free download two of his excellent publications about ringers and bells in our Association's area.
The books are in PDF format and Andrew would be delighted if you would take the opportunity to download and read them at your leisure in the hope that they will increase interest in ringing locally and, if read by non-ringers, inspire readers to get involved and try our fascinating and very sociable pastime.
There are two books available:
- The Bells and Ringers of All Saints' Church, Llanbradach, South Wales
- The Bells and Ringers of St Peter's Church, Pentre, Rhondda, Wales, 1890 – 1954
Please remember that the Copyright for both publications resides with Andrew Giles.

2018 All Wales Striking Competitions
The 2018 All Wales Striking Competitions for the Jack Pryor and J Arthur Hoare Trophies were held on Saturday 29th September at Brecon Cathedral and hosted by the Swansea and Brecon Guild.
It was a lovely, sunny afternoon which helped provide very convivial and sociable atmosphere, with the local ringers providing a running buffet of tea and cakes and, rather thoughtfully, a barrel of beer for ringers' exclusive enjoyment which was available from the Pilgrims Café adjacent to the main Cathedral building.
