January 2018 Updates

As of today the website is operating under a "secure socket layer" (SSL).

This means:

• The website's address is now https://
• All communications between a webrowser and the site, e.g. logging in, posting to Forums,
  etc., are encrypted in transit.
• The SSL is being "forced", so external content not served securely will not display. I'm not aware of any such content.

Whilst existing links to the site will redirect, it is recommended that any links to the site are updated.

As well as increased security of personal data, the use of a SSL will improve further our search engine ranking. Google in particular is hot on this. See the attached image for what this means when the site is viewed in Google's chrome browser.

Fixed:
Most of the downloads and articles' attachments weren't being served due to a database error.

This has been sorted and all now as it should be.

Minor update to Content Templating engine.

Won't affect anything since no-one's used it yet...

EU Privacy/cookie controller has been updated further. As a result, in order to log in, users might have to carry out the actions detailed in this post .
